Your picture is washed out, but for the reading audience, he is referring to the 2009 Lincoln cents.

To answer the OP, there are a number of varieties associated with the series that are collectable. If you are looking to sell, there isn't much of a market besides the varieties. If you are looking to collect (beside the varieties), I would suggest finding the mint set of 2009 as the cent included were produced on the same 95% copper planchets as those originally minted in 1909.

I've hardly noticed them, but I believe that's the whole idea by the US mint is to get folks to hang on to them.

2009 was the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Lincoln cent in 1909.
