Blank Planchet?

Hi was just at the local McDonalds and had the clerk crack open a brand new Fed-rolled roll of quarters in front of me (all were brand new 2006 Colorado state quarters) well out of the roll falls out a blank disk which the lady starts to discard. I asked her if I could have it, and she handed it to me. Anyways, its blank on both sides but exactly the same size/shine as the quarters, there is a copper colored ridge along the side. I was just wondering if this was at all unique? Or worth anything. I’ll try to post pictures later tonight (at work now).

Thanks Guys!

A type I blank is simply a disc punched out of a strip of metal to make a Quarter. A type 2 blank is a type I that has a raised rim that is applied just before the minting process.

Hope this helps, VPR

Thanks!
It is a type 2 then (the edges are raised, but the side is smooth, no ripples).
