I can see some writing but not enough to ID. I believe it's a token .Just thinking it could be the perfect specimen to attempt to clean. Any help would be appreciated.

Eek! That looks pretty hashed. One thing for sure, you ain't gonna hurt it much. Take it down by whatever means necessary to identify it, then leave it alone.

Probably says "Chuck E. Cheese" under all that crud, but ya never know!
