lighterlife,I have many lighters inherited from from family and found in antique stores, etc, including WWI trench lighter,30's GM Aviation barrel lighter,WWII brass zippo,1956 Taylor Pork Roll 100th year commerative ,1960 Crown colony of Hong Kong Ronson.
One lighter I would like to know more about is a Ronson PAL/cigarette case combo that has a brass sword over a swastika surrounded by a wreath applied to the steel case.Any info on what this was made for?Could it have been from the German Nazi Olympics?

Is there any way to tell the difference between real and fake Zippo lighter? Im in Thailand, and see quite a lot of Zippo lighters for sale, a little too many! Im sure some are copies, either made here or from China. Im not much of a lighter person, so can be easily fooled by a fake. There must be some way to be 100%, if its fake or not.

Hi if you look on bottom of Zippo there should be a few stamps here goes : left hand side there will be a letter eg a, b, c, this corresponds to the month it was made eg January- A february- B , on the right hand side should be the year stamp eg 08 - 2008 , 05- 2005 and in the middle of them should be the famous Zippo stamp , there are many different marks for different decades you should google Zippo bottom stamps and u can get a chart hope this is helpfull , also the insert should be stamped but not always the same as the bottom stamp
