Hello fellow diggers! I had a pretty good weekend hunt with the Deus 4.0, thought I would share my results. Ended up netting 101 coins total :

Zincs: 21
Coppers: 26
Nickels: 11
Dimes: 22
Quarters: 10

Notables (not included above): (2) silver war nickels, (2) silver rosies, (5) wheat pennies, (1) toasted Indian cent, (1) 1977 Canadian dime

Happy hunting :)

Congratulations deepdig. Nice haul

What I am impressed with is your ratio of pennies to other coins. Just about even 50/50.
My penny's ratio is high at 71%, but it's slowing decreasing.

Good weekend for you, yes indeed it was.

Thank you Vern for the kind words. What I'm really excited about is that this location had several "easy" targets in an obvious location to hunt (entrance to a swimming pool) Many coins were from the late 60's/early 70's at depths around 4" consistently. This tells me this location hasn't been hunted in many years or if it was, the user was unfamiliar with his/her machine or had antiquated technology. It's a large area, I hope to have more stories to share in the coming weeks :)

I wish you nothing but success in your land adventurers! There's still spots to be found - sometimes they are in plain sight, just hidden with more recently added playground equipment :)

nice haul, congrats on all your finds.
I have had my deus since the end of march and looked over what I have found in spots I used my at and some other new areas, and I thought I did well with the at. I have been extremely amazed at the increase of finds in the trashy areas I frequent. I normally hunt well trafficked areas where the depositor's continue to deposit on a regular basis. it has been the best decision to step up to the deus, no complaints if it continues it will be the best summer ever. thanks to v and calabash have learned a lot.
