Yes, it can be done. I have one site which has a lot of iron in it. A house stood there a long time ago. Since then not much has happened in the area but goose hunting. I set the Deus at the 74 khz frequency and on Deus fast, with no tweaks and pulled more than one of these itsy bitsy tiny bb sized shot from the site. The shot is sitting on the dime for comparison. It also likes colonial coppers, civil war buttons, etc. Gold rings, cannonballs, all those annoying BIG targets. View attachment IMG_0553.jpg

Yep Yep Yep - it finds those tiny targets. The hard part is getting them out of the dirt and into your pouch.

And then not losing them on the way into the collection.

I don't have the dues, but occasionally I dig a sewing needle. Amazes me every time I do it.

Nice diggin'. Reminds me of a kidney stone I once met...
Been considering trading out the stock 9" coil for the HF elliptical as my only coil. I tend to hunt in 18khz usually but sometimes cross reference lower frequencies to root out junk. I assume you can still do that with the HF coil but maybe not? Seems like copper and silver would be off the charts, beyond 99, considering the way the TID climbs with frequency when ID norm is turned off. What does a clad dime ID in 74khz with norm off?

EDIT: Didn't mean to sidetrack thread... Think I found what I was looking for.

I have dug more .22 cal bullets and shotgun shot in the first year using a Deus than the combined total before. Especially with the HF coil small targets yell out loud and proud.
