I hear a lot of whining (not here, but elsewhere on the internet) from various people about the bugs when a new version is released, but one thing I will say is that they didn't waste much time in rolling out a fix to the bugs found in v5.0. Can't fault them for that.

I guess it's human nature to whine. Dunno.

Glad they fixed the problems that some were having. I haven't noticed any with mine. Still gonna download the update tonight when I get home, just to be on the safe side.

Seems my delinking to get detector audio back when turning pointer off is a bit faster. Using 5.0 I noticed a tad of lag at times.

enough complaints get results (or fixes) I reckon. deus is good about upgrades etc.

Since I have 2 complete units I actually compared a 5.0 version to rhe latest 5.1 version.
YES I get 2 distinct beeps with only remote on when turning on pinpointer.

I don’t get this with the V5.0 setup.
I don’t find it annoying at all.

Actually a Deus lite user with out remote can likely tell pinointer was indeed turned on by these 2 tones.

Now, I also listened via headphones with remote speaker shut off, version 5.1 when pinpointe is turned on makes a deeper sounding short burst of tone. Listening to V5.0 setup, I get a shorter high pitch tone when pinpointer is turned on.

Hope this helps.
Btw I could really see time difference too comparing delinking and relinking with pinpointer. V5.1 much faster on average.
