Coil Compatibility Question

Hey guys, I have a quick question. Suppose I have a coil that has been updated to v5.1. Would it work if the remote was v4.1?

The reason I ask is because I just sold my 11" coil, which has been updated to v5.1 to someone who is still running v4.1.

Would he be able to use this coil in it's current state? Or would he have to use the update utility and reinstall v4.1 on the coil and his remote and headphones?

The coil in question is the old black legacy coil.

He has to either roll back everything or upgrade his remote/headphones to 5.1 be able to "see" the 5.1 coil.

Thanks man. That's what I told him. Thankfully it wasn't a problem for him to reinstall the software.

Yeah. It's just a pain to have to reprogram on every update or rollback. Had the same situation with the guy who bought my old coil.
