However, I've done rescue dives near power plants and they have to shut the plant down before we go in. Really hacks them off in the back pocket of profit.

The other power plants around here (Tampa area) are not easily accessible to divers/swimmers.

The diver in your story, if true, must have been someplace he/she was not supposed to be.

Thank you for updating the link - Funny, I thought of the Willy Wonka movie when I read this - the fat kid getting sucked up the chocolate pipe. :)
