Lunch...just kidding...not really, there was a time albeit short.

I have found lots of treasures over the years but nothing of value over $100 bucks. My wife and I decorated our cabin in our younger years with the Dumpster dive theme, still have a lot of the items displayed or in use today. We have actually had neighbors from the park in our place and recognize some of the items! LOL kinda weird but we just say better to put it to use than throw it away into the landfill.

Dumpster finds happen weekly with me....kinda. I own a trash service that I run everyday. Its interesting what is thrown out. Yes I get some good stuff and turn a profit when I can.

1914 huh? Do you know if they're still in business, or when they closed up shop?

They are still in Business and have several subsidiaries They go by MSA today
You my want to contact them, for archives. They may want to buy it back. I found a plain jane microscope in a wood box at a yard sale for 100 bucks. Worth maybe 250 on a good day. It had a receipt from the Seven day adventists hospital in Riverside Calif. I called them to ask if they wanted it back. They gave me the number engraved on the scope and box and the persons name on the receipt who bought it in the 1940's. They said they had been looking for it and gave me 1800 offer for it which I gladly sold it to them. NEVER hurts to do a little research and ask. I know this is a rare item and it would look good in their lobby display case?

I am gonna keep that in mind. I regret having left a hungry hungry hippoes game in a dumpster the other day. Not the box and everything, just the plastic game.
