I am on the fence between buying the Makro Multi Kruzer and the Equinox 600. I am leaning toward the Multi Kruzer since it seems to be a little more robust.

The Equinox excels in salt water. If you have arthritis, it will hurt you. I ought to know. They have not worked out the bugs yet in their manufacturing process, I'd wait 3 months or so to see what happens by then. They may or may not address the issues that have come up. We seem to only hear about the bad issues, so if the problems seen are not widespread, they won't do anything. I have the feeling the problems are not common. If you do get one, submerge it in water, with salt added to make sure the main unit does not leak. That is one issue I noticed from others.

Words pass away, cave art lasts for centuries.:tongue3:

Just cover the screen and pretend it's a Tesoro :laughing7:
The way it can be set up you really don't need a screen to hunt anyhow, just to set it up for your liking.

My son has the 800. So far he likes it and has found some very cool stuff but has yet to find anything deeper than 6 inches. It is possible that he has not found anything deeper because nothing deeper was to be had. As for me, I am going with the multi-Kruzer. It is better balanced, Better built and has no learning curve for me.

I can't in good conscience recommend it to someone who does not appreciate cave art. Recommend, you stick with what is working for you now and let us cavemen play with it. :tongue3:

Your statement is true. I've been digging very deep wheats, IH and some Merc's with my Nox and I totally go by the sound. I've found I may not get a repeatable number always, but if that tone is right I dig. Being a former long time Tesoro fan is a positive for the Nox

I'll probably get one once demand cools. I think I have 11 different detectors now. The wilderness areas I go haven't even been touched. It is just these migraines that are holding me back.

I love mine. Perhaps the tones just work well for my hearing but it's easy to turn on and go find goodies. I had 14 silvers in March using my F75 and now at 64. Can't really complain!

I will say I’m still learning the language of this machine which is very far from the AT Pro/Max but I can say at a place that was hunted for 15 years from a guy who used a etrac and found unbelievable stuff, but one of the only denomination coins that he has been unsuccessful in founding what a have dime or half real and he said he KNEW they had to be out there somewhere. Well the 800 did sniff out a half bust half dime and a half real, which I did find within 5 hunts. If anything this proves the Equinox is awesome on small silver.

I'm with goodtimecharlie, if you ran a tesoro especially a golden µmax the equinox seems familiar
