    Chinese Statues? What Century?

    The closest I have been able to find online are Chinese Ancestral wooden statues carved by family representing the ancestor that has passed away and then donated to the temples. It is also my understanding that those are fairly rare as very few were exported and few survived the burning of the temples during the cultural revolution from 1966 up to 1976.


    From my research I have not found examples or written material similar to these statues. These were fully gold gilded when made and now show traces of gilding. Thoughts, opinions on what these are and what age they may be is appreciated...
