I'm pretty sure that if you are caught there detecting you will have a long vacation.
I would imagine that even having a metal detector is illegal there, just like in Greece.

have a nice --- KM8 greece /crete (crete under greece control) -- 1901 --2 drachmai -(10g of .835 silver) or .2685 oz of pure silver weight* of which only 175,000 were made --current "book" in "fair" is 75.00 usd -- I think mines better than "fair" and could let you have it for less than half book ($35) and $5 for insured shipping total $40-- let me know of your interested.
