I had been a long time member of another site. Along with many sub-forums on this site is one called "funnies" jokes do not HAVE to be detecting related, and I have never seen anywhere on the amount of posts you can make in there, from day to day, as a matter of fact, two days ago they were begging for members to post in there. Well, this a.m. I recieved a P.M. from the webmaster, " Is that all you have to do, posting Jokes and Musicians"? Talk about being P.O.'d :cussing: I blocked the webby and the site from accessing my mail box. I will no longer have anything to do with that site, and also will not accept any apologies! They all know that for health reasons that I don't get out much. And don't post much treasure related things. I apparently posted too much in their VIDEO section also, (does not have to be treasure related). I also deleted all cookies from that site. There are a few who are members of this site, that are members there also. If you know me from there, P.M. me here. I had over 800 posts there, but never will post there again :o. I posted one off color joke there, two days ago, not nasty or porno, just gross..... I recieved a P.M. from the webby, that it was not appreciated and to not do it again. So I found some clean jokes sites and started posting away, everyone was loving them, except the webby, I guess. If this is in the wrong forum, please move it, but don't change it!............NGE

Well you know what they say..."_____ 'em if they can't take a joke". I don't post many finds either but I like the comedey central forum here and post there often. Don't sweat it, you can post all the jokes you want to here, I don't mind. ;D

If he would have said something like "please tone it down a bit, you're using up our bandwidth or whatever it's called" I would have obliged him. Actually they were begging for blonde jokes, and the webby is not blond, but his wife is............I think ;D

Well that is part of what's wrong with the world today, no sense of humor. :icon_scratch: Even on here sometimes people can't comprehend a joke and that is a sad thing. That is what may have happened to you on that site, someone can't discern a joke from a statement. At least here we have a little more leadway, but with all the forums some posts may hit the wrong one and offends someone. Sad these people have nothing going on that is more important in there life. The majority of my posts are on everything but today's finds. I think I have 2 posted there. As you can see I am not the greatest hunter, but I am having fun and a good day out.

I only post when I have had a great day, it doesn't mean that I found the greatest item, but I had a great, or fun time doing it. Besides, everyone already knows what chewed up Lincolns and pull tabs look like :D

By the way, have you fixed that little cannon up? I was hoping for an update :D I will be more than happy to come and document the full story from the retooling of the cannon, the firing, the arrest and hopefully the trial :D I hope I have enough film

I am taking it with me tomorrow to a friends house out in the country where he test fires lots of things against an old shed that is about 200 yards from anything, with over 2 acres of weeds and trees beyond that. He doesn't have any 3F powder, only 4F, will that do :laughing7:?..........NGE

He can never overload, it's not much larger than a fountain pen :laughing9: This is a little mini replica cannon, we have been joking about.

I am almost afraid to post on any forum now, some here really have poor reading comprehension and I don't have the time to 'learn em" :laughing9: I don't know how often people seem to read what isn't there :icon_scratch: But I will continue in my lighthearted way anyway.

I have noticed there are a few on the site who do not treasurehunt but post here just the same. I guess it's because we have such a very good group of people who appreciate each other's friendship. I personally don't read the jokes much, but if that's not your thing , you don't have to read it. Other than a few "trolls" for lack of a better term, the Tnetters are a great group to associate with as well as share detecting information. I 've personally met a bunch and haven't found anyone yet that I just can't abide. Now this is a family site and it is not always easy to keep from being off color but most of us try. Glad to have you aboard. Monty

Does anyone remember what the cardboard cap looks like on a tube of Daisy BB's, well because we had no measure handy, we filled that 3/4's full and poured that down the barrel (4F black powder) Put Toilet paper wad in next, rammed it home with wooden dowel, next we poured about 25 Daisy Premium BB's down the barrel, followed by another T.P. wad. We used green fuse 4" long in touch hole, so I could leave the area :laughing7:. My camera was set up about 25 feet off to the side, then I started video, went and lit fuse, went in the barn, BOOM! Waited for smoke to clear, cannon recoiled 4 feet back ::). The pin hole in the barrel I drilled out to 3/16th's. and the touch hole also. it works great with or without something in that hole in the back. Every time we fired the cannon, it would disappear out of the video ;D. So I set up a shot just watching the cannon. 3 feet of recoil and it lands upside down every time. So when I get these video's loaded on youtube, I'll provide a link or tell you where to find it........NGE

I would not dwell on the issue too long....It seems like everyone has some to say about everything including what other people think. I have run accross the same thing especially on the hot button issues. I just use the ignore button when I read something racist or hate monging. My blood pressure stay down and I don't lose my temper and say something I'll regret later.

NGE,
4F Black powder. Have learn something more about this.
Yes please post a link so I can see your fun.

I have been kicked off of a couple of web sites for speaking my mind.
One was a "Live" singing/playing and I used the word ass in a song.
Others were politically motivated and I did not agree.
I do not condone the nukeing of gay whales.

HAHAHA!
Great fun there NGE !

I once worked with some guys that made a big cannon.
2" dia. bore. I didn't see it but they said it went through a 55 gal. drum of water and mostly through an old oak tree that was the backstop.
Near me in the fall some farmers have a pumpkin shooting contest.
Who can hurl a pumpkin the farthest. Catapults, Trebuches, and even compressed air.
Is great fun to watch the competition.

I don't have a blond joke right now or a favorite find to report.

I do have a piece of advise, watch where you point your cannon. It looks like a can take a knee cap off. Oppss, did I say that?

I like it. I'm just jealous that I don't have one. My birthday is soon...nah, the miss's would kill me.

If you'll notice the way I was hobbling away from the cannon after I lit the fuse. It's one of those days that I couldn't hunt because of sore knees. That's what I look like when they are sore and try to run. As I used to tell my old boss, If someone sets a car or truck on fire, I'll turn the lights out when I leave ;D........NGE
