FL snow!?

the temps down here in FL have been record low... its SOOOO cold out people aren't
doing anything but staying inside with the heat turned way up!!! this morning i woke up
and my green lawn.... was a white color!!! CRAZY....

I lived in Orlando Fl for 20 years before I moved here to Puerto Rico (over a year now). I always said, "If it snows in Fl, I was going to move further south"! I guess I moved at the right time.

I live in the mountains in Caguas and at night it gets around the lower 70's.

this cold weather is killing us here in Florida. I`m in Plant City and we are a strawberry growing town. Alot of my friends are farmers but they have got to quit with all this watering . We have had 30 degree or below weather for about 10 days straight and once it hits 32 thats when the possibility to lose the crops sets in. They turn on all their sprinklers so the water can freeze and have a protective coating of ice on the berry and the plant. This 10 day stretch has dropped our water table drastically. I now have 4 sinkholes within a mile of my house, roads are closed by me and our major interstate(I-4) on the north end of town is down to 1 lane because of the road sinking in on 3 lanes. There are over 200 wells that have dried up since the end of last week, the rules there are if the residence was there before the farm the the farmer pays for a new well. I had dirt in mine 3 days in a row, the news ask for us to turn off our pumps at night to help with the water, yeah right. I wont see any profit from the berries so why should I ?

Time to guy buy a 4x4. Yesterday it finally got into the low 30's, it felt like spring here. I hit the park with the dog in just a light jacket and was about to wash my car.

cold for this long in fl is really sad.... its like winter depression ... but the sun is still out...
just the locals aren't! we are all inside with the heat jacked wayyyyyyyyy up!!!
