Sorry Plehbah my friend, I have to disagree on this one!
The FIRST thing you eat is the liver, then the heart, followed by the kidneys, etc... Once the organ meats are gone, THEN you can start on the carcass! Organ meats spoil quickly if not consumed in a timely manner... At least this is the way it is in certain parts of Ecuador! The "natives" showed me this on my second visit, I haven't repeated the mistake...
Now, about strange eats... In all of my travels I have eaten some STRANGE things in 6 different countries thus far, but NOTHING like most of the stuff posted!
But, for the record, grilled monkey meat coated in a mystery sauce and served on a stick ain't too darn bad! I ate that stuff from the street vendor outside of my hotel in Ecuador for 4 straight nights until one of the local employees asked me if I knew what it was. I skipped a day, thought about it, and then went back! Too bad we don't have monkeys in Texas... Good stuff!
I COULD do the boodog though... Cabrito is cabrito REGARDLESS of how it's cooked!
