Hello Harley man yup I agree with you. It would be great to just take your time and enjoy looking them over.
There are so many it would take quite a while to see them all. But what a collection. Too bad it's not open
more to the public. He has an awful lot of money invested there. He could recoup lots of it by charging a small
admission to the public. It is a top notch collection.

That is a most wonderful display of cars and background scenery just adds to the flavor.

But think about this This museum is only open 2-3 time per year for fund raising events, so can you imagine what the price of a ticket is? It has to be in the 10's of thousands to make any sense. The overhead alone for the museum must be mind blogging.

I guess if he did make it public, they wouldn't be able to get nearly the amount they raise in private. Then you also have the liability factor to toss in. Let alone the possibility of possible damage to the cars from the public pawing on them. It's not easy to walk by one of those cars and not touch one, just to feel how slick the wax is

Spart - That is probably a major factor in the decision to not open it to the public. I don't think they do fund raising events there in an effort to help the museum, rather the funds go to charity.

Though that one may be on a somewhat larger scale, private museums such as this are not as uncommon as one would think. Car collections need a lot of space and many locals, through zoning laws, hamper the size of structures/garages but often the zoning regs are much more lenient on museums. So, if you are a well healed collector, you open a "museum".

DigginThePast, you have a point about collectors. I wonder if Jay Leno won't open a museum with all of his cars once they cancel his show He'll have to charge admission to make a living, because his stand-up act isn't funny either.
