One day they got me on the roof of the corp. building to see what needed fixing and they almost had to call in a cherry picker to get me down.

Fell 96' off an almost dry waterfall when I was a teen, so i've always figured less than 96' I'd bounce. Anything over that I'd die of shock or drown peeing myself so it wouldn't matter.

The gutsiest guy I ever seen was stuntman Dar Robinson, who jumped from this tower in 1980, no parachute, only a thin wire, calculated to slowdown just before he hit..I was working for a diving company close to the tower when he made the jump, everyone stood outside and watched this crazy guy do the deed.. this was 31 years ago yesterday..
6 years later, Dar Robinson died by accidentally driving his motorcycle off a cliff during some camera run pasts on November 21, 1986..

Height gets me when I am on a roof at the edge and look down. I can feel the gravity pushing me over the edge. Yes gravity is a force that pushes you towards the earth not one that pulls you down. Now the strange thing is that planes don't bother me. I have flown in commercial jets, copters, beavers, pipers and paragliders with no problem. Frank

Always gotta chuckle when you see somebody walking across a footbridge or scaffold & they yell "Don't look down!" My luck I wouldn't be looking down & step in a hole or on a broken board & do one of the coolest freefalls you ever saw. :D :D :D

Try mountain climbing...now that can put you in some intense situations. I was at a point (near red dot) for with one foot on a friction nubbin, one hand on a small slanted shelf, one leg hanging free and one arm trying to pull out a massive chock...for twenty minutes. The two guys 50' below could hear my pant leg shivering against my boot as my muscles lost control. The vertical below was staggering...but I finally got the dang chock out and very wearily moved on. Ok, war story's over.

Actually, the view from the CN Tower is quite impressive. I took a client up to the revolving restaurant for dinner once. It rotates 360deg per hour so you get a good view. Not as good as hanging off the side of a catwalk I would imagine, but good non-the-less.. This tower also has a section with a glass floor that you can venture out on, and jump up and down if you wish. Those same 40,000 butterflies would protect me there too.. Aircraft Heights and and most depths don't bother me, I got my pilots license when I was 17, and spent more than 20 years working underwater in all kinds of conditions. But at 64, I'll be darned if I'm gonna test fate by spitting on the grim reaper!
