God's Wings

Greetings, this is from an email so again I am not sure just when it
happened.

With the following pictures, it did not say who the artists are.

A True Mother

This message will touch your heart. Then see some artwork by some
outstanding painters.

After a forest fire in Yellowstone National park, forest rangers began their
trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. One ranger found a
bird literally petrified in ashes, squatted statuesquely on the ground at the
base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the erie sight, he gently rolled the
bird over with a stick. When he moved it, three tiny chicks scurried from
under their dead mother's wings... The loving mother, keenly aware of
impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and
had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic
smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to
abandon her chicks...When the blaze arrived, and the heat was scorching
her small body to a cinder, the mother had remained steadfast.. Because
she had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would
live.

"He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find
refuge." Psalms 91 vs. 4.

Now for some beautiful and unique artwork. Enjoy!

Wow! Tee if you do this feather art, too, I would love to see some of your
work. It is such a beautiful art form. If you have any pics of them, please
post them. Add them right on here, if you like.
Thank you

Thank you, Kentucky.

Tee, There are several that I like quite well, but I specially like the two with the eagles and flags. They really stand out.

Which ones are your favorites?

Can you post some of yours on the skulls. That sounds very unique, also. I
have never seen any of that type of artwork.

Re: God's Wings

Tee, that looks great. I like it I would imagine that the texture of feathers
would make it tricky to have smooth lines between colors. On wood things
I do with acrylics, it works better if the one color is dry before changing colors.
That also takes it longer to do. When I painted my wooden eagle wings, I
did all the red feathers first and let them dry before doing the white ones
between. The same with all the body colors.
