Crispin went mia a few years back due to some personal issues that he didn't want to divulge....he popped in a few times to say hi on the thread but he's been keeping a low profile.

Between his profession and a young family I thought it wiser to let him be he knows where to reach us
if he's so inclined.

I have often wondered this myself...
I have made candles myself with an antique 4-taper mold.
I use crayons for coloring and use my favorite scent-Lilac.

I also make tie-Dye T-shirts.
Love creating crafts!

Bill, can you update without giving too much away?

Well, Here it is, From my heart.

America is where I grew up.
I learned in school early to pledge allegiance, to be honest and always help others.

I've always held those learnings close to my soul.

I grew up in a middle-class family, in
the 70's, Always aware of the Soviet threat.

I fought with my older Sister while growing up, about trivial things and soon won her record albums.

The things that we fought over then have led me to understand today what
Freedom and America really means.

I have known many Friends who have sadly died. And I have have nearly died myself for my Friends and strangers....

But,

As long as I live, No matter the circumstance,

I will ALWAYS be there for my Friends and Fellow Vets.

Your Weapons are ready! I'm good....

I'm there for you, Brother!

I have an appointment tomorrow with my Vet Rep at the Georgia Dept. of Labor at 10 AM.

I'll shower, shave and clean up again fresh....
Probably even wear a suit and tie, just to show my dedication and potential....
Guess I'll polish my low-quarters about now....

I'm Serious about a Bachelor's Degree in Social work to help returning Vets who are having difficulties re-adjusting to Civilian life!

If I have to wear a suit and tie, I'll do it!

Sheesh! I hate wearing a tie....

Pictures? Don't hold your breath.....Maybe.....

I met today initially with my Vet Rep and I feel that he is on my side!
This may lead to great things!

I mentioned having worked for the VA in the past.

He made copies of my references and DD214.

We talked of my service and my goals.

He promised to help me in my passion.

Tomorrow, We'll see.....

Reminds me of a story when I was Maintenance Director of a Nursing home.

OK.

I was the Maintenance Director at a "Long-Term Care" facility.
A "Nursing Home."

A young man, who had broken his back while roofing, was a resident.
He was bound to a wheelchair...Had no control of natural urinary urges....
An 18 year old resident. Just a kid, for Gods sake!

Well, I had planned a birthday party for myself and decided that he should be included.

I went and loaded him up in my truck. He attended my party!

So, that evening, I went to the location and we loaded him up and his wheelchair to attend my party.

I cooked kebobs, played music...
Everyone had a great time, but on Monday,

I was called into the Administrator's office....

I still to this day enjoy that memory, of the pleasure I provided to my friend.
And also the look on my boss's face....
When I said, "Later, you loser."

And, I'm sure that Billy remembers that weekend!
