It seems that some are upset with me.
OK.
I understand.

With all that is going on with me at the moment,
I think it is best for ME to take a break from the Critters.

I have made many Friends here and have shared my life for the last 5 or 6 years.

Throughout College, landing a new job, Mentoring Vets and sharing a joke, music, or an experience or two,
I hope that some of the things that I've posted have made an influence on others in a positive way.

Sometimes, one has to step away from what is "Familiar," and experience something new, unfamiliar and sometimes unpleasant.

I'm truly sorry for anyone's feelings that I've hurt, and perhaps my self-imposed sojourn
will allow me time to reflect upon the important things in my life and that of others.

I was contacted today that I was accepted for my new location and will concentrate my efforts on relocation,
the new flea market, additional hours at work, and, of course, the Guys at Veterans Court.

When one is on the edge, whom would they cry out to for help?
When others cry out to you for help?

A COMPLETE physical is to be scheduled at the VA soon, as my 60th Birthday approaches.....

I hope all fare well and I might return after awhile.
With a new attitude.

My Best Wishes,
As Always,

Scott

By the way,

Just came upon a Lincoln Cent that has promise.....

After searching THOUSANDS of pennies, my eyes growing weary, is this yet another $750 coin?

1972 DDO.jpg

The last time that I had thought I found a collectible Lincoln,
I submitted it for Professional Grading.
And the next one, too....
If so, we're looking at over $2000 for the 3.

My cost? 3 cents. Plus grading fees.....

Perhaps my eyes aren't as old to deceive me as I thought.....
You kids need to look over your change.....

Y'all keep lookin' through that pile of pennies and soon, you'll find "Treasure when you least expect it."

Scott

Got your monies worth outa that one...
A poor guy I used to know (and we all know and love) ...Used to emerycloth them rough pylons and the rotor end in hopes of a few more miles. (Doesn't work too good after a blown hose and antifreeze bath though).
That did lead to a set of points being dressed and regapped too many times till they died of starvation one day on one car.
Had the new ones ready and waiting though! Crazy cheap/poor thrifty kid.

The rotor had to be removed in pieces.... A lot of rust under that cap. I had to use channel locks. New accel cap and rotor and a friend thinks he has a new High pro mallory distributor.. if needed.

The bottom right of the pic shows a suspected open hole. (There are 6 circles molded in underside of cap , with the one light colored as if that circle was removed..)
Lighter colored than the wood background though....
I'd be suspect if the replacement cap had such a hole without a use.
A vent that size (not saying it is a vent) needs defended , but more so it invites too much debris and water.

(Certain Ford Torino's conked out after hitting mud puddles due to wet distributor caps. The fix was Ford adding a splash guard/plate to defend them from front tire throwing water on the cap.....)
So , in other words I'm mildly nervous about how your ignition got funky.
