Ice storms. I'll add that to my list of why--many years ago--I stuck out my thumb until I reached the Left Coast.
Lets see.......forecast today...Abundant sunshine. High 72F. Winds light and variable. Humidity 40%.
Yes, for Christmas, I miss the snow--but only for that day; I get over the feeling by the 26th.
Elsewhere, I wish each of you 'Critters' a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year; and a safe return home for those who are presently guarding our freedoms worldwide.

Don,

All the best to you and yours for a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Spent a good chunk of the weekend snow clearing.....I'm getting to old for this stuff but it does keep the old joints nimble.

Regards + HH

:laughing7: What the Dirt Hound doesn't know won't hurt him? A chum of mine that I met on the Canadian site will be coming by this evening and I will be able to meet him face to face for the first time. He suggested that we meet up at a Pub then I countered with him coming by my place to hang out instead and that I had a 12 pack kicking around that we could work on. He's in town visiting his father and he grew up here as a child so he's getting dropped off. I told him not to take the chance of driving as there are tons of ride checks right now and your license can get suspended for having just .05 blood alcohol. I told him that I'll foot the bill for the Cab ride and everything will be good. What he doesn't know that I had planned this all along and have a fully stocked beer fridge and a little something in the freezer to go with some eggnog. If the fridge doesn't have enough stock, I do have another 48 bottles stashed on the bench in my sauna. The Hound is about to be ambushed. :laughing7: IMG_0001.JPG IMG_0002.JPG IMG_0003.JPG IMG_0004.JPG IMG_0005.JPG IMG_0006.JPG IMG_0007.JPG

Chris,

Now that's downright devious.....try not to kill to many brain cells during your get together....lol...

Been there and done that btw.....I remember back in the 70's waking up in my apartment with one of those sandwich boards with a flashing yellow light that they used to put up for road construction sites....must have picked it up
on the way home along the way...

The folley of youth....lol.

Well,

It's either camping this week or not.

I'm ready to go, but,
I just ain't feeling it.

I either go this week or New Year's week.

Then School Semester starts and who knows when I'll have the opportunity again.

Difficulty:
My landlord just brought me 5000 customer wrapped Linclon cents to search....

I really need to get one with nature before school starts....

Hmmm...

John Sebastian.

Regardless,
My Friends,

Y'all have yourselves a Very Merry Christmas!

(Judy Garland, who gave us, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow.")

MERRY, BLESSED CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

well..time to go feed the cats...hopefully the big one wont show up again...
mountain lions attempting to dig through the roof is not a feeling i wish to revisit.
Hmmmm....
Story time again....
I once lived in the country, rural, ya know....

Well, I was havin' trouble with a chicken Hawk.

That rascal would swoop from a nearby dead tree and have his way with my chickens.

I'd had enough!

I'd sit and wait for him on the edge of the wood line
for hours with my .223.

Every dang time that he showed up, something told him that I was there.
I always checked wind direction, etc., but it had to be something more....

I was right, because I moved my sniper nest to inside the chicken-house itself.
Visual acuity? Or perhaps a degree of animalistic psychological manipulation?

Too Heavy?

Here's a "bail-out" song.

Enjoy!

Anyway,

That solved the problem.
One shot. One solution.

Another story of problems include a Smith and Wesson .357 Highway Patrol model
and piercing a garden raiding rabbit's ears...both ears, one shot....about, 40 yards.....
Yeah, I missed....

Best,

Scott
