Folks,

I just went back to the beginning of the thread to reread some of the early posts....a bit of a blast from the past.....actually Worldtalker was on the original list and decided to rescind his membership....probably thought we were to crazy or something....lol...

In any event it's kind of evolved from the original reason into just a friendly place to hang out and have some fun.

Regards + HH

Personal update: Out of necessity of have learned Portuguese in the last six months. Out of further necessity I have learned more Latin and the history of ancient Greece. If anybody needs to know anything about Norse, Roman, or Greek mythology...I'm your guy. Politics makes strange bedfellows....Mark Twain.

Golf is a good walk spoiled....Samuel Clemons.

Crispin

Nice to see that you are still playing with your silly putty, my Friend.

According to David Crystal, "The Cambridge Encyclopedia of Language," 1987, part VII, pg. 226-227,

I conclude that a Child's brains elasticity is more greater(more better? :icon_scratch:) than that of an older person.

What I mean is that when you hear of some child "prodigy" who speaks 5 languages,
be more in awe of an adult who learns even one more language.
I'm sure that you know what I mean as far as learning ability vis a vis age.....
Well done, my Friend! :notworthy:

My Friends,

Through several PM's,
The problem has been resolved.

The problem was my perception of having offended someone.

They have forgiven and forgot.

I still feel somewhat embarrassed and humbled....

But,
Forgiveness only comes with acknowledgement.

I'm sure that I'll be careful of my posts from now on to prevent such occurrences in the future.

"Yeah, Sure. Give him a day or two...."

Always my Best Wishes to All,

Scott

PS.
I have studied the Illiad and have an understanding of Greek Mythology.

I was there, don't you know? :laughing7:

I love to make people laugh. I also love to dabble with magic. I especially like card magic, but since I cant show any of my card magic.........here's a chuckle for all my fellow friends that is VERY TRUE. Have a great laugh

A man approached a very beautiful woman in a large supermarket and asked, "You know, Ive lost my wife here in the supermarket. Can you talk to me for a few minutes?" "Why?" "Because every time I talk to a beautiful woman my wife appears out of nowhere."

A similar situation....

If you get stranded alone on a deserted island,
Speak out loud of how you would like a martini made.
Soon, there will be many others all around you giving their advice!

Best,

Scott
