How odd.....

Some pics make it through. Some not.....
If I understand correctly...

"So, Alfalfa, What you gonna do?

"I'm Sorry, Spanky. I have to live my own life."

Got a couple of tents, plenty of firewood, a stockpile of food and a backyard camping experience is welcome!

Including attending College!

However, just received notice that the College is closed tomorrow until Monday.....

BUT!

I've had a "Weather Class!"

I've studied the flow of upper atmospheric data and such....
And I conclude that it will be in the upper 40's to mid 50's here this weekend.

I also see the potential for a brief, localized, occasional shower....

Best,

Scott

And, let's talk about "socks," shall we? RC, my Friend? :notworthy:

I'am still interested in those guitar strings bro.
D'Addario is my current fav. My Jackson guitars (Made famous and actually started in part by Randy Rhoads) I have to cut off the ball/ends because of the double locking floyd rose tremolo.

"Imagine, if you will,
Someday, you are only doing your job, and a new aspect, a new 'situation' presents an opportunity. Do you run forward, knowing the risks, that await you?
Somewhere, in the 'Twilight Zone'?"

A Friend once turned me on to this song.

Folks, I haven't been big about "Country" for some 30 years...

I like the words and the rhythm and want to pass it to y'all!

Best Wishes,

Scott

Sittin' here, thinkin' 'bout you dear, and I got a rush on love.

Some call it a dope deal, all people call it rough I don't think I'll freak out no more, I've tried enough of that stuff Some people tried it one time, second time's high or low The third time it will make you weak, the fourth will make you slow.

Thanks Bill. Bowie was a character. I liked the song he did with Freddy Mercury of Queen. RIP!

Thanks Bill. Bowie was a character. I liked the song he did with Freddy Mercury of Queen. RIP!

A collaboration with David Bowie, this is credited to "Queen with David Bowie" because the B-side of the single is Queen's "Soul Brother." It was recorded at an impromptu session in Montreaux, Switzerland.
According to Queen bass player John Deacon, Freddie Mercury did most of the songwriting on this, although everyone contributed. The lyrics deal with how pressure can destroy lives, but love can be the answer. The lyrics are characteristic of Mercury's songwriting.

Deacon however did come up with the iconic two-note bass riff, although it came very close to vanishing: according to Roger Taylor in the Days of our Lives documentary, Deacon came up with the riff, then the band went for pizza before coming back to continue rehearsals. Upon returning, Deacon had completely forgotten his idea! Luckily, Taylor eventually remembered how the bassline went.
Brian May recalled to Mojo magazine October 2008. "It was hard, because you had four very precocious boys and David, who was precocious enough for all of us. David took over the song lyrically. Looking back, it's a great song but it should have been mixed differently. Freddie and David had a fierce battle over that."

Well,

We got a light dusting of snow overnight and by this time, it has mostly melted.
Tomorrow will be T-Shirt weather!
So I only got a B in Weather class! :laughing7:
------

Thinkin' bout the gemstones that I'm awaiting....

Was going through one of "Scott's Box of Rockz,"

Found a few to run through the tumbler....

21-IMG_0772.JPG
(They be runnin' "round de round" in the tumbler now!)

Some to finish up with...

06-IMG_0756.JPG

30-IMG_0778.JPG

29-IMG_0776.JPG

And some to work on, including designs.

23-IMG_0774.JPG

Also came upon old mountings that have potential....

05-IMG_0755.JPG
(Sterling-1/2"x 3/8" oval cabochon mount....)

31-IMG_0779.JPG

Guess I need to work on designs.....

I also found some primitive pottery shards that I found in the CSRA near the Savannah River, some 30+ years ago that I will donate to my Anthropology Professor.

24-IMG_0769.JPG

26-IMG_0771-001.JPG

Also found the specimen that I found recently while Camping and Hiking that contains garnet formations and possible olivine formational existence....

13-IMG_0763.JPG

This, I will also donate.
To my Geology Professor of past!

1-geology class-001.jpg

(The Professor is second from left. I'm in the back....)

I really should be studying, but,
I can't help thinking about a PVC tube,
The Woods, Mountains, Camping and Hiking....

Certainly my perspectives have changed since I've been to places I've once visited....

What's the draw about "Geo-Caching?"
How does it work?

Could this knowledge help me this Semester?
The "Tube?"

Help me to help you.....

C'mon, Folks,
Give up some info! :notworthy:

Best,

Scott

Dammitsomuch! I can't find the case with my best creations!

I need a map!
