What is your preference?

We're talking about oatmeal.

So I'm rained out and having a bowl of oats. Today it is brown sugar and raisons, lots of raisons.

Grew up thinking there was only one kind of oatmeal, the instant variety. It was much later I learned about steel cut oats and if you never tried them you are missing out. Makes the rolled instant variety taste like the cardboard container they come in.

I try many different supplements, aforementioned raisons, bananas, etc. our daughter says I just as well add some beans...ha ha she isn't a fan, but quite the comedian.

Please, Tell us your favorites.

wet in Texas,
Bravo

Steel cut is the best! More nutrition in addition to better taste :)

I like the McCanns steel cut oats the best but they take so long to make! I usually soak them in the water overnight and it cuts the time by almost half.all I need is a little brown sugar and butter and it is such a good sustaining breakfast.

The best I have found is a brand called Country Choice Organic. The flavor is there, the texture is there and it is organic and not GMO.

I think you can get it in Whole Foods or maybe on their website.

Home | Country Choice Organic

I am funny about food as I get older. Organic and nonGMO are important to me.

Thanks Patrick.i ended up writing the company and we can get it at Trader Joes. I am with you on being more concerned about GMOs as well. I try an eat some organic produce,it just tastes better to me as well as being better for health.

Hi CoilyGirl,

Well, if you don't mind me making a few suggestions, try these brand items:

Betty Lou's
Boundless Nutrition
Bell Plantation (PB2) These PB crackers are very good.

I hope this was helpful.

Patrick
