I am looking to purchase one for private flights to take photos of bluffs and other Legal things. Arkansas is trying to pass a law about taking photos of private property. How do you know what property is private and what property is public without checking beforehand. Also I've heard of people getting in trouble for flying over national parks or federal parks. I have always wanted to get a drone to fly over the pea ridge or prairie grove battlefield and get a aerial view of the battle site. What's y'all's idea and anyone have a drone?

Lucky dogs!! I have seen a couple like that before but not in person. Brother has one that was pretty cheap that flies a couple hundred feet. His is a little small to add a camera to though.

If a drone ever gets "in my face", I will bring it down with my ball bat; which I ALWAYS have in my car...

I think I agree with the Colorado town of Deer Trail where they were considering issuing hunting licenses for drones. $100 bounty if you turned in one operated by the federal government. And of course you should check beforehand what property is public or private if you decide to fly one around. Not that hard to do. It might be a good idea also to check if I am out in the woods camping that day. I will probably not respond well to that sort of intrusion.

I would love to go drone hunting!!! I have several places I would love to check out with one. Some high bluffs in my area where I have heard some native Americans stayed in. Be neat to fly it inside a bluff shelter and see what was in it

Geez. I guess if it don't say "No Drones" a person would be safe. I can't say I'm against them but where do you draw the line ? What if the wife is tanning in the back yard and you come swooping in there to get some photos ? Shouldn't I get a cut of any money from the photos ?

I want to be there when your wife finds out that you have been getting a cut of the money!

No doubt. Kemper I would most likely say backyards are no fly zones;) I'm mainly looking for bluff lines and always wanted to get an aerial view of a private battlefield dad and I had permission to hunt. Getting the lay of the land in some areas might help figuring out where certain things might have been back then

The thing is a person probably needs to check out the laws regarding those before investing too much money and not being able to fly it. I personally wouldn't be worried much about it but if there is a restriction to flying over private property it could be a problem. I can just see people knocking on doors trying to get permission to fly over their property to get to a site. :laughing7:

And the POT Patches... Moonshine Stills... COULD get a bit NASTY!
