I'm just gonna say I feel sorry for any group of people who try to rise up, or invade this country. You think the military is bad, just wait till the citizens get pissed off.

Kids with machine guns... pretty cool.
The movie 'Blood Diamond' is very accurate if you like watching shoot-um-ups. I worked in Angola for a year living on the Congo. The movie is very well done and highly accurate. It has some great machine gun scenes.
Cheers!

Now that's a picnic I'd even like.
I can't tell you all the times I wanted to walk out of a business meeting, head out to some remote spot with a bunch of junk cars, and machine gun the stinkin crap out of them! Now that would be a great stress releaser!
Good show.

My vote is that we should have a Family park like that in every county, looks like fun.

. . . . hhhmmmm
I can only respond to this video on what little I know about it ( not any additional information given )
A bunch of people, variety of ages, non military or police shooting off quite a range of weaponry . . . not impressed , does not make me feel "American" or proud to be one much less does this video make me feel "safer".
Actually it makes me a bit sadder.

Anyone looking to 'rock-n-roll' with a 50 cal can do so at:
http://www.goarmy.com/flindex.jsp
They will give you all the ammo you need, and as a bonus you get to drive thru urban environments blazing away at 'pop-up' targets of opportunity. How cool is that!
Why just talk and dream of it when you can actually live your dream! Is this a great opportunity or what...

I am not sure why this poster originally wrote it then deleted, perhaps a change of mind . . which is fine & okay . . just wanted that individual to know . . Thank you, for not attempting to make me feel "un-American" due to me not seeing the video as others had
Bogart
bogeymcq,
O.K, O.K., I think I may be, "an individual".
Sometimes I post an item and think that perhaps
I have put my heart on my sleeve. Especially
with family matters concerning this son.
The voices that I hear in my head keep telling me
things that................
Here are the main points of the post:
Think the statement, " goose step over in line
behind bogeymcq....", is a bit harsh.
I also think the video is a "sad" reminder of the
time we live in.
I go by the old saying that many have heard
about believing in gun control. Me controlling
my guns.
Taught my sons when they were young.
My oldest has been associated with the military
now for almost 10 years. Has served with
several different types of units. EOD,
Special Operations , attended the
military language institute , speaks
French, Spanish and some Arabic. Currently is
working in several Muslim countries.
So proud of him.
Would like to see a day when he will be home,
sitting behind a desk, (he would not enjoy doing that.)
But I dont think the situation in the world today
will let him do that.
Perhaps someday things could be different.
Until then
Bogeymcq, you keep believing in what you
believe. It could make the world a better place.
Just some deep thoughts, for me, on this Flag Day.

Re: A real American Family Picnic the way they should be held.
Very good thread! I have seen that video somewhere else, and it rocks. Watching it shouldn't make anyone feel less safe. The people in that video most certainly aren't the ones using guns in an illegal way. Do a little research on what it takes to get an automatic weapons permit. Join the NRA, piss off a tree hugger
