Roger, I saw something about Steve McQueen's Bullitt Mustang coming up for sale. I found it listed on the Mecum website. Auction to be held in Kissimmee, Florida January 2020. Sold at NO reserve.
https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0120-397388/1968-ford-mustang-gt-bullitt/

One of the 11 original built Eleanors from Gone in 60 Seconds will also be for sale
https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0120-397289/1967-ford-mustang-eleanor-fastback/

Pretty cool and also pretty rough condition (on the Bullitt car)

I saw that too. But then, what would happen to the value if it was fixed up ? Maybe 30 years from now the younger generation who don't know who Steve McQueen was would probably get away with a complete restoration. Maybe it's just me, but the car holds more value as it somewhat represents the car Steve McQueen had. I don't know if you read the whole description or not, but Steve did have areas roughed up so it would not look like a new car.

I don't know but I don't remember that car looking that rough ? These "movie cars" are usually well cared for. This poor thing looks like it spent some time in bottom of the ocean.

Well my niece is here this weekend. She was born on the same day as my son exactly one year later. She's a five year old little firecracker. We are burying a cache this afternoon !! I got a big glass bottle that's shaped like a skull that's filled with pennies and a few quarters. I'm gonna put a gold earring in it and then were gonna bury it. Wooo hooo !!

You are pretty low maintenace. Well, except for blowing holes in the rum budget :p

So Bill made me think of something: what if you guys were multi millionaires\billionaires? What would you do?
I think I would buy a large chunk of Missouri land with a cave. And maybe an island. Then I am not sure.

I'd start with buying this. The inside is WAYYYYY Cool :)

I had to take another look. I guess I was so caught up with the car's history that I missed what you saw. I agree with you. It is rough and that is just what we can see.

A cool 3.5 to 4 mil. Nice taste :notworthy:

And worth every penny. If for no other reason than not having to put up with all the BS getting on a commercial jet :)!
