This happened the early winter of /19. Moving a large amount of blue clay from the pile excavated from the clay pond. This large BOOM! I had my headphones(hearing protection) and it was loud.
Smoke, mist, what was it
I got out turned on the cell phone flashlight. Tires check, hydraulics check, open the side cover of engine-battery failure.
Regular failure=over charged battery=dried=vapour now throw a arc/electrical/heat=boom!
Then I started to feel the burn on my face, quickly I rubbed snow over the skin. Then headed back to the house on foot.
That's what a 8D battery looks like after it goes boom. My clothes, Carthill jacket, looks like a target for a shotgun now after being washed.
I'm just grateful for the Simms cab protection.
