Tabdog's First Gold fer 2010 and a Shoe Find

Hi Folks,

I have been off my bad medications and have been able to
go outside and hunt for about a week now... I started slow
and have been building up. I hunted 4 hours this morning.

I did tot lots today, starting close to home,



That has been a good tot lot. I got a hart stopper there,



Just a cheep ring!

After that, I headed to my favorite tot lot,



I found a presidential dollar there. Then I headed down to the
river,



There was a guy practicing his bag pipes,,, so I stopped and
listened to a song,



There was a woman with 3 little girls in the tot lot so, I hunted
the valley ball court first,



After hunting most of it, I only found one dime, and no trash??

Finally, the girls left and I got to hunt the tot lot with the "LOVE
MONUMENT",



It gets a work-out late at night sometimes,,, lol

Small, but it's my first gold for 2010. I am glad to break the ice,
so to speak. I bet it took over 5,000 recoveries over the last
week, just to score that one piece of gold.

Here are all my finds, except for the infamous shoe find,







There had been something in my shoes most of the morning.
I just figgured it was wood chips. When I got home, I took my
shoes off,

and out comes this,





Will wonders ever cease

Glad your feeling a bit better. This board just isn't the same without your posts.

Way to break the ice. My goal this year is to find 10% of the number of gold items you find tabdog. I pretty much only coinshoot for older stuff, but figured I'd hit a few tot-lots and swimmin' holes after the fields get planted.

The shoe find is almost unbelieveable. Seen several days I would have loved to have just found one wheatie but couldn't, and you can catch them with your shoe. Amazing.

hey tabdog! i hunted at those volleyball courts today... found 4 quarters, two pennies, a toe ring, and a belly button ring... there were several pieces of foil and i had several times where my mxt would beep a coin / ring and i would find a piece of iron holding the rr ties together way underneath the sand... i'm still quite a rookie but that was frustrating... keep hunting and posting dude! i've enjoyed your posts! i'm getting a pinpointer tomorrow delivered via ups! can't wait! i hope it saves bunches of time! i'm taking my son to harrisburg on some private property thursday night camping and hunting on a known union civil war camp... any tips for locating more likely where they would have set up camp?
