Finally getting around to posting. Back in November last year I got permission to hunt one of the oldest and still standing houses in my little hometown. It dates back to right around 1900, and being located on a very prominent street corner, it was very likely built on an existing homesite. I know the town doctor lived and practiced there in the early 1900s. I hunted a few hours on 3 separate afternoons. The finds:

1911, 1917, 1919, 1919S, 1920 wheats
1898 Indian
1916D Barber quarter (my first!) in AU+ condition. Honestly looks like it was minted yesterday!
1918S Standing Liberty quarter (my first!) in EF+. A little wear on the date, otherwise almost perfect.
About $2.50 in clad

Also found 2 tokens. One is an old Palmolive Soap token. "Get 2 cakes of laundry detergent free when you buy 3 cakes." Dates to 1927-29. The other I can find very little info about. "G.H. Bishop", "Good for 2 1/2 c. in trade"

I thought it was weird that my newest "old" coin was 1920. I did find a single 1950 nickel, but you can still find those in circulation today. I'm wondering if maybe the house went vacant for awhile around 1930 or so. I remember the elderly couple that bought it around 1980 and that while it was by no means falling down, it was in need of some pretty serious repairs. I also thought it was weird, but by NO means am I complaining, that I found 2 silver quarters but no dimes. Until the hunts at this site, I had found dozens of silver dimes in my detecting "career", but only 3 quarters.
