Planning a move to Pagosa Springs

I retired this last year and we are planning a move to Pagosa Springs by September. We'll be in pagosa the first two weeks of June looking at properties. I'll also be bringing my MXT and looking for places to detect. I'm more into cache hunting and as such will be looking for leads in the area. I've been researching several stories that are mines. Just curious if anyone here on the forum is located in the area and would be interested in partnering up to detect and research and hunt for caches. Hope to meet someone soon.

I'm here thru next Tuesday. Is there any detectorist's in this area? If so I'd sure like to meet up over a cup of coffee and get acquainted.

What type of hunting will you be doing in Pagosa.
The mountains have rules. They are harsh rules, but they are there, and if you keep to them you are safe. A mountain is not like humanity. A mountain is sincere. The weapons to conquer it exists inside you, inside your soul.
