Don't See These Everyday!
Dantheman and I hunted for like an hour today and an old cellar hole (25 degrees brrrrrr). Didn't take long to dig this 1867 2 cent piece! Dan got a handful of relics to boot. We are keeping busy in the cold weather. The only thing that will stop us is the frozen ground!

Very nice Ian!
Don't you guys have any snow over there? We got 4 inches last night and it snowed pretty consistently all day today adding another 3-4 inches of fluff. We probably get more lake effect snow over here on the west side. Glad you were able to dig.

Great nab on that 2center. A nice warm peroxide bath would do wonders for that little gem. Congrats.

Excellent! Very nice photos too! Had no trouble making out what it was unlike so many I see. As for the snow, you guys know the true meaning of what the Government once told the starving Indians on a reservation, "Endeaver to perservere"! Monty

Very nice find Ian. It is as much fun to dig one of these up than finding a gold ring in the woods.

Re: Don't See These Everyday!
Nice Job!
Did you guys get a bunch of snow now?
We certainly don't lack for it, but I think you guys got a lot more from this last storm than we did.
Good Luck!

Re: Don't See These Everyday!
Great find!
I'm hoping to get out this weekend, but it sure is iffy. We had rain all day Tuesday in Chicago that turned to snow through the night.
Tonight is gonna be in the single digits. Hopefully it does'nt freeze all of that moisture in the ground.
