Hi all:

I hunted a new site today, a beautiful fieldstone house where my brother once lived. Relatives still live there. I spent a lot of time yakking today with the homeowner and not much time hunting. I only had time to MD about 25 feet from the front of the house into the yard due to the interruptions. I have permission to go back so I tried not to let it bother me.

No old coins but I found a neat old metal Indian that was already compromised structurally. I helped it along with the mighty Raptor and it is now in two pieces. ::) Anyone have an idea of its age? (I had to laugh because it looks like this Indian is holding an African Zulu shield. ???) Also found some decorative metal, possibly from a lamp.:dontknow: Also a bit of clad.

Glad we got some rain recently as it was nice digging.

Thanks for looking and HH,
Michiganne

Nice looking site, try by that big old tree! That Indian might be from the 40's. Nice digs Anne.

I was told 1920's - 30's. My plat research shows a house on that site in 1873 but it may have been an earlier home. This place has the uncut "round rock" foundation.

The dirt has been moved around a bit in the yard so I'm hoping some old silver is still findable!
