faker
Went out and hunted a tot-lot in a park today and did not find much. The ring made my heart skip a beat though.Once I got a good look at it I could see the gold color coming off in spots,no marks on it either.Ran into BB1 and had a nice metal detecting chat, always enjoy chatting with him, good fella.
Thanx for lookin. Rookie

Re: faker
still a nice find, could be gold plated silver. I know what you mean though, had a couple of heartbreakers too. I'm always happy about digging a ring, junk or not. HH, Griff

Re: faker
Thought I had a gold one last year, but when its flaking it's faking , good luck on the next one.
After you left, I found a semi-hot spot just outside that woodsy area, found 10 wheats in a fairlysmall area, could be some silver around there.
Good luck,
HH.
