Sunny Sun. in a new field - Nov. 1
Today I hunted a new farm field that I just received permission to hunt. The weather was night and day different from Sat. and I was actually hot due to the layers I wore. The field has wheat stubble and quite a bit of clover has grown up around it making for very tough swinging. I had to hunt hit or miss where the vegetation was lower. In a tractor track I unearthed an 1880 IH, beating my oldest IH by a year. That made my day but a half hour later I pulled out a small ring, 14K gold-filled. Gotta love it!
Can anyone give me an idea on how old the ring might be? There was a house here at least back to 1873. I can't wait to do some serious gridding here come spring.
HH and thanks for looking,
Michiganne

WTG Anne!!!!!
Nice finds, congrats on the new oldest coin, and the ring. I bet the rings is from the early to mid 1900's.

Great IH. That iron whatsit is neat too. Would like to see it cleaned up. It looks like a piece of ornamental trim from something, maybe?

I scrubbed it as best I could but I don't have an electrolysis tank set up. It looked like a flower to me. Maybe a piece off an old stove?
