    Back to the farm field

    Hey all,

Went back to the farm field that I've been hunting for a few years. When I went in February, I found a Silver Roosevelt and a wheat penny. I posted it on here back then.

Anyway, I went out yesterday for 2.5 hours and today for 2 hours.

This is my take in 2 hunts in this farm field over yesterday and today...total hunt time 4.5 hours

    1883 Indianhead Penny
    1892 Indianhead Penny
    1901 Indianhead Penny
    1905 Indianhead Penny

    1919 Wheat Penny
    1920 Wheat Penny
    1934 Wheat Penny
    1 unknown wheat penny

    1940 King George

1944 Mercury Dime in excellent shape

Also got a couple other interesting finds...

One of them is a token with a round hole through the middle. Says "Good For 5c In Trade" on one side...says absolutely nothing on the back.

Another token had Herbert C Hoover on the front...a bunch of small writing about him on the back. Says "31st President" on one side. 1929-1933

So 10 coins in 4.5 hours isn't a crapload of coins...but all 10 coins are old.

My scanner is acting up so I haven't got any scans for ya right now. Most the Indians/wheats dont look that great anyhow.

    Great to get out.

Re: Back to the farm field

Sounds like two good hunts to me. I'd rather find a few old coins than a pile of new ones.
