Hey all,

got out to an old iron infested farm site this weekend (long gone) from the 1850s/60s...

Machine used = Deus in Deus Fast - sens 90 - 4 tones - 18kh - disc 5.7 - GB varied 81 - 86 for an avg.

Dug anything/everything not hitting/sounding as iron :-)

Buttons, Large Cents, Silver 3 Cent Star, Indians, Bank Token, pewter items, copper pieces, a dated lead R&R Bale seal, toe tap, etc.

1 of the Buttons is a Michigan Regiment Cuff Button (Civil War)!

Pictures tell the story...

HH and good diggin out there :-)

OMGoodness! what a great hunt. All I ever find at old homesteads is farming equipment.

Very nice. :hello2: Good site indeed! Congrats on some old coinage and nice relics. Just curious, how many hours of swinging? Might be worth some more gridding. :icon_thumleft:

Thanks guys

Michiganne - we hunted the site for approx. 5 to 6 hrs straight.

We did go back again but didn't find anything more worth mention.

My buddy found a few good relics - a silver suspender clip, couple of buttons, a civil war token/store card dated 1863 and a cool crotal bell

we'll hit it again in the spring after the frost does its thing and see if we can't pull a few more items out :-)

Whoa! Man - you got into a good site there!! Fantastic finds. Love the Largies!! :headbang: Always amazes me how many Canadian LC and Bank Tokens turn up in MI. Love the Silver 3 Center - never found one of those babies yet. Congrats on the Civil war Cuff Button and sweet 1857 R&R Bale seal. Nice!!

Congrats on a successful dig! Those Deus machines are becoming more popular, I know of three others that are swinging them now. WTG on the little silver trime, can't recall the last time I saw one posted here.
