Martk and I got out for about 3 hours Mondy, in the fog and misty rain, and I got clad dimes, memorials, 8 wheats (earliest was 1919), a 1919 Merc dime no mint mark, and 3 Louisiana Luxury Tax tokens. Mark did a bit better.

The tax tokens were started in 1935 and ended in 1961.

Nice finds. I also was hunting in the rain Monday but still cannot seem to find any silver coins. I really enjoy reading about your demo finds.

We try not to let a little rain and cold slow us down. My finds for the day included: 3 clad quarters, 4 clad dimes, 2 clad nickels, 21 memorial pennies, 19 wheat pennies (oldest being a 1917) a silver 1947-d Washington quarter, a 1971 English New Penny, skeleton key and a 1949 Andy Pafko "Scorekeeper Baseball Ring". 12-31-12.JPG 12-31-12a.jpg 12-31-12b.JPG pafko_ring.jpg
