Weight/Balance of Straight Shaft CZ's?

I'm interested in how detectors like the CZ20/21 or 1280 compare to say a CZ-3D in the balance dept. I know the straight shaft detectors weigh in at 5+lbs and the CZ-3D is under 4lbs. But do the straight shaft CZ's balance better than their S-shaft counterparts?

I love my 3D but the weight/balance gets old after a time. Hip mounting it works great and swinging is even easier than a Deus or Compadre. But if I'm honest I'd really rather have the box in front of me. Would it be beneficial to convert my 3D to a straight shaft for better fee/balancel?

Hip mount brain box on cz20/21, the box weights a ton plus four 9's. Whats left in the hand is the lightest rig going land or sea.

HIP MOUNT THE BOX

I use the cz 21 on the shores a lot...it is like swinging a toothpick. Never get a tired arm.
