Anyone have experience with a 1225??

I don't own one but I'm the market right now for a detector and I've looked at dozens, including the reviews on them.

What I hear about the 1225-X is not good. The main complaint being that they're cheaply made.

Cheaply made no way I keep one in my truck as a backup (I use Whites XLT) and I used this one before I got my
Whites now it sits in my truck waiting for the XLT to mess up it gets stepped on and banged around and still works like the first time years ago
for a first MDer I think its a good one once you learn the sounds of good targets and you can use the iron disc to weed out the bad
pinpointing is easy and depth is about 6" to 8"
