I was out prospecting yesterday with my Pawn Shop Gold Bug 2. I started having ground balancing issues. I noticed the switch had come loose. I switched from the Gold Bug 2 to my Whites V3i. Today I took off the switch knobs and tightened down the nut the holds the switch to the front cover. The detector is back to working. Does this nut come lose often? If it does should I put some locktight on there to help it stay in place?

Oh and I found lead, misc, nickel and penny. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1424477854.793016.jpg

I wouldn't think you would need Loctite if you were able to tighten it up decent But if you do I would would use the green removable kind.

Just picked up a gb2 at auction but the volume/power button is stuck on. It will not go all the way to the off position. It goes past the 1 but has to much resistance / something blocking it from going to the off position . Any advice?

Call Felix at First Texas. If he can't help, maybe he can send you to Daniel.
