Fisher F75LTD-2 - Back To The 'Hit And Run' Site

This morning I first went to a site that I got permission to hunt from a lady a couple of days ago. The dew was wet and the grass was thick which made for some messy digging. I only dug a few holes because I couldn't do a neat job covering the holes back up, but I did manage to get a Rosie from her yard before leaving.

I decided to go back to the 'hit and run' site. I didn't get all the pictures of the digs, because I was too busy watching my backside and forgot to take some. All those barking pit bull dogs and slow driving cars with boom music blasting was getting on my last nerve.

The oldest coin a 1917 Mercury Dime was the shallowest. It was only 2 or 3 inches deep. I first detected the site in the boost mode and went back over it in "DE" mode and found more coins that I missed. I tried the 'FA' mode, but it's just too noisy for my liking.

In the trash shot I forget to get the Rosie from the other pill bottle that was in the other pouch that I used at the first site. It had me scratching my head for a little while, because I new that I found 5 silver coins today. I also found 7 wheat pennies, some kind of president coin and some clad.

Nice Hunt and Great looking coins. I see you have a 10x6 coil too.

Say in BP mode using 3H I seem to get the high tone but when I repeat a pass over the area to locate where the high tone originated it seems to me the recovery is so slow that I never can center the coil over the target.

Perhaps I am swing too fast. Have you noticed anything like this? I did not have that problem before the upgrade. DE is my go to process now. Tones seem to work well in 3H but I use Delta Pitch the most with no descrim.

Thanks. I'm sure exacting what you're talking about. I've noticed that my new upgraded version is a mushy on the audio response. It just takes time to get used to.

Thanks. Not only is this site in a shady part of town, it also has plenty of shade trees. I think next weekend I'm taking someone with me back to that site. He wants to see what his Racer can find.

Thanks. You and I have hit some really good sites together that have produced lots of silver coins. You just never know how good a location is going to be until you detect it. Some of the best looking sites turn out to be the worst sites for finding silver coins and some of the worst looking sites turn out to be the best sites for finding silver coins.

I may have to take a drive up to Memphis sometime and get you to give me a lesson on this Tesoro!
