Does anyone here know if the Fisher Gemini 3 could give me a false reading on fractured basalt? I balanced or tuned my unit and only in one spot I get pegged readings on low sensitivity (between 2 and 3). The area is made-up of mainly dirt and small basalt rocks. Can small "hot rocks" give me a false reading with a 2 box detector? If anyone here is accomplished with this unit could PM me I will give them my phone # to further explain my results.

thanks Jon

Its been a while since I used a Gemini 3, but yes they can pick up hot rocks. Also the size of the rock or its orientation makes a difference.
