Mogi your collection continues to impress. Just when I think I've seen it all, you post something bigger & better than the last post ( of course that incredible Clovis you posted the other day may be short of impossible to top ).

Can you tell us a little about yourself? Are you from the U.S.? If so, what state? And what do you do for a living if you don't mind me asking? Keep those pictures coming!!!

Thank you sir! I am from the U.S. and very honored to say that. I spent about half my life in Oklahoma/Texas but am now living right on the border of Missouri/Kansas. I am a Promoter-Head Judge of a Bodybuilding Show in Missouri and have a Landscape/Handyman business as well. I am so blessed by The Good Lord above as he blesses me although i am not deserving. My common hunting area is Arkansas,Missouri,Kansas but have availability in Oklahoma,Ohio and Texas as well. I appreciate your inquiry and may God bless you and yours this holiday season! Respectfully, Mogi

That looks to be a young Mastodon tooth. Could I see a view of the chewing end. Great find:icon_thumleft:

That is a really nice specimen, are you going to clean it up more? If you do could you post a picture of it.

Hey Oddjobb - The last posted pics are after cleaning with mild detergent and tooth brush. It is heavily petrified, so it will not come much cleaner. Thank you for the correspondence!

I'm not feeling baby mastodon on that one. Great find whatever it is.

I'd say probably the tooth of a large draft horse.

x1.jpg x2.jpg x3.jpg x4.jpg x5.jpg x6.jpg x7.jpg 11KBP could you give your opinion? I believe the original post was a Bison tooth but i am not an expert on these. I also know that i have a bead and a small deer bone mixed in with one of these frames but could you give your ideas on the rest? Respectfully, Mogi

11KBP is right that is a horse tooth, because there is no sign of a Stylid on that tooth, which will be found on bison and cows an I was wrong on baby mastodon. The chewing surface is wrong for a mastodon.
