Possibly the [h=2]Exogyra Ponderosa Shell Fossil : We find lots of these in the mountains here, and in the river running through dinosaur provincial park, in the southern part of the province.[/h]

Honestly, you might get a buck or two at a garage sale. Fossil oysters are beyond common and honestly not very iconic/sought out for. My advice is to keep it on your desk or coffee table as a cool discussion piece.

Möglicher preis von fünf Euro bis achtzehn Euro je nach Größe (Possible price from five Euro to eighteen Euro depending on the size)! I am sorry if the words are not in the correct order! I am not very good with Deutsch anymore as it has been many years since I transferred out of Germany.

Sorry, I actually have no idea, that is way out of my realm. The ones that I have seen in good condition, the owners polish them using rock polishing kits.

This is true. Some places they are so abundant they ate crushed as part of cement compound material.

I know i'm late but as a metal detectorist who lives in Luxembourg I find these quite regularly.
They are an extinct oyster species commonly called the devil's toenail.
They went extinct around 34 million years ago and started to appear in the triassic period.
