That is interesting.

Sharp on the part of the museum rep to ask if they had legal ownership. Don't want to loose a $6M investment to some court squabble.

We had this drilled into our brains in every geology class in college,
a mineral is a naturally occurring nonorganic substance with a definite chemical composition...
a fossil would not fall under this category since it is a composite of various minerals cemented together
