Glad to post again, barely had any luck THunting this past month due to weather and school responsibilities. Today I got to have a day off and have already chosen a public spot to hunt.
In the afternoon by a U-turn crossing under the main highway was a concrete space with wood picnic tables next to the railroad. By the sub-grade and ballast there’s a grass field and drainage tunnel with a number “1915” on a concrete slab up top the tunnels end. Got started by the road and spent 30 minutes on the field.

Expected more out of it. Got only junk cents. 7¢

Interestingly, I found this near the tunnel and appears to be a shell shaped relic.
At first I thought of it would be fossil as it seems to have a rocky composition. But I post this to see what y’all would say.

Any feedback will help. Thanks and happy hunting! :)

That there is a fossil oyster shell, and a nice one at that!

I found several like this in southwest Georgia and was told that they were Exogira Ponderosa and about 200 million years old.

Wow, nice find you got there! I can’t be 100% sure but I think It's a fossil oyster shell. I can still see the resemblance of it being one originally.
