Fossilized Shark Teeth and shells

I was metal detecting a while back and noticed what looked like shark teeth laying in this lil spring that was coming out the bottom side of about a 200 foot cliff.. well I noticed that there was a layer of about 10” of this rock like stuff I thought anyways so I knock some out and it’s full of shark teeth and other fossils of some sort.. It’s my first time ever coming across any fossils so I was wondering if anybody could give me some info on any of this stuff .. thank yall

Your shell looks like Exogyra Ponderosa.

The entire area of Columbus is the bottom of what at one time called the Mississippi embayment. You can find items like this all the way up past Tupleo. Almost any creek up Hwy 45 will have fossils in it. The company that I work for is out of Columbus and every time we have a meeting I go a couple of hours ahead of time to hunt fossils. You are in a great spot to find all types of fossils. I would go back and do more digging in that spot. The shell is a ancient oyster shell, we call them the Devil's toenails, the teeth you can ID by looking online for prehistoric shark teeth. Very nice find !!!!!!

That's an amazing piece you found. My friend had one like it in his aquarium. Most of those look like sand tiger shark teeth.

Incredible find you got there! Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems you found a lot of sand tiger shark teeth judging from the looks of them.

I’ve been told they were Goblin Shark teeth but i really don’t know ..
