I'm just getting into GPS as an adjunct to my metal detecting activities. I've been saving my coppers for a GPSMap60 Csx, which is now apparently out of production. Can anyone tell me what Garmin unit is considered to be the evolutionary successor to the 60Csx? I have to put my money into something and it has to have the same features/capabilities as the 60Csx. Thanks, Butch.....

The 60Csx is an excellent unit. I've actually had it to where it recorded with sub-meter accuracy at times (averaging). Connects extremely fast even under a tree canopy as well. I also believe you can buy a program to upload aerials, which is nice. Plenty of used one's on ebay I'm sure. No clue of the successor.
